Every Memorial Day, I remind friends and colleagues, it is not my day. It is a day of remembrance of my Brothers who were carried back, who made the ultimate sacrifice. Veterans' Day also honors them, but also honors my Brothers still in the fight and those who have finished their fight. It is my day, but is also the day to honor the Veteran in your life. Remember to tell them you remember.
If you don't know a Veteran, go down to your local VFW Post and meet one. It's their day and they're probably out marching in a parade.
