Damon,

Great story and worthy cause but I know not to expect anything less from you. Not too long ago I was approached by the organizers of the Missouri Friends of Injured Marines that host the annual General James T. Conway Golf Outing in Eureka, Missouri not too far from our home office in Lawrence, Kansas. This year Devil Dog Brew will be attending and supporting. Since its inception the Injured Marine Semper Fi fund has provided more that $37 million dollars in assistance. I don't think folks know just how tirelessly you're always working to promote causes with your time, talent, and hard work. Thank you.

WOTN - I got a little ahead of myself but I know you and DBS are good friends and share a common cause. I came to you via his write up and in a hurry to say thanks, well, Thank You!! Keep up the outstanding work! Semper Fi, Hank

I don't understand the part about an "NCO That Refused Orders," although the overcoming adversity story is incredibly inspiring.

WOTN Editor

Athena,
The refusing orders part is that Naval Officers had told him he would spend the rest of his life in a wheelchair, that he would be medically discharged, that he would never walk again.

He refused those orders (though that is told better in another article here), passed his PFT, deployed to Iraq, deployed to Afghanistan, and is running Marathons.

Thanks!

Mom of Air Force engineer

Thanks for this great website. It is such a huge help in keeping up with my son on his second deployment to Afghanistan. He feels great about what he is doing to help create a country that can sustain freedom. God bless you and please keep on keepin' on.

I bet you listened to Rush as he told you not to even think about ciniicizrtg the President, or his glorious plan to get us into Iraq. I bet you listened to the White House telling you that Saddam and Al Qaeda were somehow linked, that Iraq had something to do with 9/11. I wonder if you still believe the lies, since you still link to the liars on your blog.Hey, continue to have faith. Maybe if you are very nice to the Republican Party, you will get to be one of the last people they decide to gas. Maybe they will even let you live, you could be a guard in the concentration camps. Enjoy your life!
