For the past 82 years, ever since 1926, the Rose Bowl in Pasadena has been celebrating our nation’s independence on July 4th in a big way. As has become a tradition in this country, there are fireworks, families gathered together to picnic, play games, enjoying their freedoms.
This year there will be fireworks, food, precision music and field shows, with 5 of the countries best Drum and Bugle Corps to be performing! At the Americafest Family Fun Zone, the grounds open mid-afternoon where families will find barbeque, treats, drinks, exhibits, inflatable rides for the kids and more.
General admission rates are $13 for adults, and children age 7 and under are admitted free. Parking is $15 per car. Members of our military and their families are treated to a special discount.
“As our community comes together to celebrate the American Spirit of Freedom the Rose Bowl will honor all the men and women who have served and are actively serving in the Armed Forces, at home and around the world. Local members of the active military and their families will be admitted free by showing their current military identification at the Rose Bowl box office the day of the event.” http://www.rosebowlstadium.com/RoseBowl_Americafest.htm
