Home Depot offers discount for July 4th holiday weekend!
There is a lot of misinformation out there regarding Home Depot no longer giving our veterans a discount. Since I couldn’t find a current update regarding that, I emailed Home Depot and asked them if they still offered a discount to the military year-round and especially regarding the July 4th Weekend. Here is the response I received back!

Although no continuous special discounts are offered for our Active Duty Military, we sponsor several Military related discount promotions throughout the year, usually during Fourth of July, Memorial Day and Veterans Day weekends. The Home Depot is also proud to have been a part of Project Homefront. We applaud the efforts of the many volunteers who assisted more than 1,400 military family members and performed safety, security and maintenance repairs while their loved ones were bravely serving our country. So regarding a discount for members of our military on the upcoming Fourth of July weekend, bring along your ID and ask! The discount might start a day or so ahead of the weekend, so it wouldn’t hurt to call first and find out the exact days it applies to this year.
LOWE’S OFFERS MILITARY DISCOUNT FOR JULY 4TH – INDEPENDENCE DAY
10% Discount on purchases up to $5,000 for Active, Reserve, Honorably Discharged, and Retired Military Personnel and Their Families
MOORESVILLE, N.C. – Lowe’s Companies, Inc. announced today it will offer all active, reserve, honorably discharged, and retired military personnel and their immediate family members a 10 percent discount on in-store purchases made during the July 4th – Independence Day holiday. The discount is available June 26 - July 7.
The discount is available on in-stock and special order purchases up to $5,000. To qualify, individuals must present a valid military ID or other proof of service. Excluded from the discount are sales via Lowes.com, previous sales, and purchases of services or gift cards. The offer is not redeemable for cash and is nontransferable.
In addition to offering military discounts throughout the year, Lowe’s has extended benefits for its employees serving in the military and offers employment opportunities to military personnel after their military service has ended.
