THE 1/24 MEMORIAL FUNDRAISER
3 GUN MATCH
1st Battalion, 24th Marine Regiment, is a Marine Corps infantry battalion, headquartered aboard Selfridge Air National Guard Base. The 1/24 Memorial Committee is raising funds to honor the service and sacrifice of these fallen Marines. Commandant of the Marine Corps and a grateful nation. The flag is a symbol to honor the fallen Marine’s service to his country and his Corps. A competitive Three Gun Match is being held Saturday and Sunday April 4 & 5, 2009 from 9:00AM to 5:00PM at the Macomb Community College Gun Range located at 21901 Dunham Rd Clinton Twp, MI 48036. Shooters will need a semi-auto rifle, pump or semi-auto shotgun, and pistol or revolver and at least ten (10) rounds of ammunition for each. Slugs preferred. If you do not have the above firearm(s) but would still like to participate, Macomb Community College will provide you with one or all of the above firearms and necessary ammunition for an additional $10 fee.
Awards for the top "Open" and "Stock" classifications will be made to accommodate electronic and iron sights.
Cost is $25 if you bring your own firearms and ammunition. $35 if you need firearms or ammunition. Cash or a check made payable to the Marine Corps League is preferred.
Shooters must be a past or present government employee with firearms training to participate in the match. All police, fire, active or reserve military, National Guard, and veterans are welcome to shoot. Donations are always welcomed. Refreshments will be provided.
