It is the intention of War On Terror News to give you a diverse means of staying on top of the news. We offer many different ways to do so, because no one way is right for everybody. Of course there's the traditional method of simply visiting the site and pretty much all roads lead back to that, but, there are other ways that allow you to stay on top of the headlines and select the stories most important to you to read.
Of course, you can also get the headlines in near realtime by following us on Twitter (@WOTN) which posts the news as we publish it. Or on Facebook. The most complete is to follow us there through "Networked Blogs," though you can also find us as "WarOn TerrorNews" where we publish fewer of our articles to keep the volume on readers down.
You can add an RSS Feedburner feed by rightclicking on the following and then clicking "copy shortcut." Or you can highlight and copy and paste the headline animator to your favorite destination and you'll have the latest 5 headlines cycle through, just as they do here.
In the upper left you'll find the google search engine and the site "freefind" search engine and index which allows you to search through all the news we've ever published for that story you missed, based on any word you're looking for. (I don't recommend looking for "the" but now this article will show up if you do.)
Below that, you'll find the email newsletter subscription, which will provide you the news of the last 24 hours in your email box while you sleep. I'll provide an example of that at the bottom of this, but don't forget that you have to verify that you signed up from the email that you get. That prevents me from adding every address I know without their permission. If you accept the free newsletter subscription, you're authorized to republish or forward in whole or in part that newsletter to your own readers, friends, family, and politicians, whenever you think others might be interested in the stories we post.
And if you want to catch up on the Afghanistan as a whole, you might want to look to the categories listed on the right of the page (or top) which will show you from most recent to oldest all the articles we've posted on it.
We're committed to doing everything we can to get the News out, that Our Troops are Honorable. They are Valorous, Victorious, and Generous.
We can also be found on AllTop News service and some of our articles can be found in syndication on other sites, but no matter how Our Citizens get the News, we're happy to provide it and always looking for new ways that fit in with the lives of more readers. And you won't even have to pay the 50 cents (or more) that the MSM charge! In fact, if you want to donate cash, we ask that you donate it to the White Family efforts that benefit wounded Marines through the Semper Fi Fund. $1./mile for the Marathon he'll run is only $26.20 and far below the subscription rate of any newspaper.
