Iraqi Army Soldiers Train on TCP Procedures
The primary instructors for the training were Sgt. 1st Class Vladimir Querales, 53rd MiTT and Staff Sgt. Sean Brown, an infantryman from Corona, Calif., assigned to Co. B, 1st Bn., 117th AR. The training emphasized the importance of strong traffic control point operations.

The Iraqi Soldiers ran through TCP operations including vehicle searches, methodically covering procedures to ensure control point security.
"The training continued using one of the IA civilian vehicles. We used it to demonstrate when a car approaches your TCP," said Brown. "The training moved on to ensuring the IA soldiers keep security on the vehicle and personnel around the vehicle at all times,"
The Instructors covered search procedures and the importance of thorough seach and reporting procedures.
"At the end of the day, when the training was complete," said Querales, "the 53rd Iraqi Army Brigade seemed to be more confident with themselves and working with the Soldiers from both B Co 1-77AR and the 53rd Military Transition Team."
