All commissions from sales of CoverBag on this site go to the Semper Fi Fund campaign of White Family. See their story. Use the sales code WOTN.
War On Terror News is teaming up with a Marine that saw a solution to a problem. Use the sales code "WOTN" and you'll get 10% off the very reasonable price of $29.99 for a US made product of a Veteran Owned Business.
This is truly a case of "necessity being the mother of all invention." This Marine first
As an Army Veteran, this is not a problem I had, but as the Army changes to the new Dress Uniform, Soldiers too will need this bag in travel.
Unlike Marine "covers" and other services "headgear" and civilian "hats," the rather obviously name "CoverBag" is fully collapsible. That means that if you're wearing your headgear you can put it in your checked baggage without losing much space.
It has pockets, handles, and straps in all the right places. You can customize it with a unit or service logo. (I'd expect to see a lot of EGA's on this thing.)
At $27 (after WOTN discount), this bag will literally pay for itself the first time your cover isn't destroyed in travel. It's not yet available in the AAFES system and there's no way of knowing how long that will take to happen. Given the number of products I'm coming across lately that should be in AAFES, I need to find a contact in their procurement system. For more information, you can visit The Cover Bag site. But remember the discount code: "WOTN" to save 10%.
I love it when we can help a Veteran Owned Business!
And just for a kicker, we're looking for a Few Good Men/Women to test this product. If you think you have the right stuff to be the official tester at the Pentagon or 29 Palms, drop us an email (or a comment) telling us how often you travel and your duty station. If you know a Devil Dog that might qualify, pass this on to them. We hope to be part of the process of selecting One Jarhead from each of 5 primary bases to test this product and provide feedback as to our impressions of how great this thing is. The honest feedback is the price of the bag, if selected.
This is a unique product focused on a specific need and I can see this thing going viral in the Corps and anywhere else that wear this style of headgear. Have a Marine in the Family. This could be the perfect birthday present, graduation gift, or Christmas present. Why? There is no competing product out there. The closest thing to it doesn't come close. It's not in the PX. It's only available through the Marine himself, at present.
(Why can't I ever think of such an innovative concept to patent?) Did I mention, it's made in the USA! Buying this helps a Marine (or two), helps the economy, and puts Americans to work. And it saves money (in saving the cost of new "covers.")
