India's Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has arrived in Saudi Arabia, marking the first visit by an Indian prime minister to the kingdom in 28 years.
During his three-day visit, the prime minister will meet with Saudi King Abdullah and other leaders. They are expected to discussed ways to increase cooperation on issues such as security, science, technology and human resources development.
The leaders are expected to sign at least nine agreements, include an extradition treaty.
Mr. Singh said Saturday his trip to Saudi Arabia reflects strong mutual desires to reinvigorate relations.
King Abdullah met with Prime Minister Singh in India in 2006. During their meeting, the two leaders signed several agreements, including a memorandum of understanding to combat terrorism.
