DoD has announced the award of $227 Million in University research projects. These are the kind of things that get tucked away into DoD spending bills in Congress to benefit the constituencies of powerful Congressmen. That is not to say that these are or are not worthy research projects that the Military needs answers to. But I don't trust politicians and I am inept at reading the language of Scientific Professors.
Can someone tell us what these subjects are in plain English and tell us how these might pertain to military matters.

Like I said, it's not that I categorically believe these are pork projects. But I don't like when my money is spent on things described in an incomprehensible language. Too often politicians use incomprehensible language to hide things they don't want to own up to.
