Mogadishu, 1993

On October 3, 1993, the opening shots of the War On Terror were shot by an enemy we did not know in a place far from any strategic interest where we simply wanted to feed the hungry:


By the end of the day, two men would earn the Medal of Honor and many more would give their lives.  The small group of American Soldiers would fight a hard victory in a battle the press would call a defeat.  The enemy would be emboldened.
