In the wake of Veteran Outrage, the VFW National Leadership is calling on its "seperate" Political Action Committee to immediately rethink its positions:
"KANSAS CITY, Mo., Oct. 8, 2010 - The national line officers of Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) are at odds with the VFW Political Action Committee (PAC), calling the methodology process used by the PAC “seriously flawed at best this year and in immediate need of extensive review,” in the wake of the recent congressional endorsements made by the committee." VFW National Commander
While this is a move in the right direction for the right stated reasons, this is not an issue that can wait until next year.
"Because of the controversy surrounding the endorsements, VFW line officers have decided to bring the question of continued existence of the PAC to the floor during the 112th VFW national convention in August."
This is an issue that must be resolved quickly, as in within days, and certainly not after all the early voters have cast their ballots in less than a month. Let's start by pulling the web endorsements and finish with a real pro-Military, pro-Veteran list of endorsements, before the elections.
