During the brief meeting, Mills praised the Ministers for the quality of men and women that Denmark was sending into Afghanistan.
“Thank you for the caliber of the troops that you send us. I cannot praise them highly enough,” said Mills. “They are a focused, dedicated and motivated group of individuals who remain on target despite some hardships and some tough missions and ground they worked over.”
The general also spoke about the coalition’s efforts to disrupt the insurgents’ movements and their ability to fight.
Mills said with help from the Danish troops, coalition forces can continue to pursue the Taliban into the far corners of the province until the coalitions’ mission is complete.
“We appreciate very much the job that you all are doing here,” said Espersen. “We’re fully committed to staying here and getting the job done.”
“From behalf of our soldiers we really appreciate working together with you and together with the British,” said Bech.
