Missing Canadian Found Dead & Burnt in Mexico

Body of Missing Canadian Businessman Found in Mexico

VoA News: The body of a missing Canadian businessman has been found in his torched rental car in southern Mexico.

Daniel Dion disappeared about a week ago during a business trip to the Mexican Pacific resort town of Acapulco.  Dion’s family confirmed Sunday that Mexican police have found his charred body in the trunk of his burnt rental car about 130 kilometers away from Acapulco. Family members say they lost contact with him October 22.  Dion made frequent trips to Acapulco where he worked with a company that employs Mexican prisoners to produce handbags.

Acapulco is a popular resort for foreign and domestic tourists, but the area has recently been hit by gang-related violence.
