Indonesia Sentences Seven Men in Aceh Terror Plot
Authorities who raided the group's training camp in western Aceh province earlier this year found documents indicating the cell planned to assassinate Indonesian political leaders and stage Mumbai-style suicide attacks on Western hotels and embassies in Jakarta.
In separate trials, five men were given sentences of five to seven years for taking part in military training at the Aceh camp.
More than 100 people have been arrested and several others killed since authorities discovered the training camp in February.
Radical cleric Abu Bakar Bashir is in facing trial on terrorism charges, accused of having organized and financed the camp.
