Wednesday, December 29th, 2010 VOA News Officials say Taliban militants have attacked a NATO supply convoy in Pakistan, killing a driver and wounding two other people.
Regional officials say the gunmen attacked the NATO trucks early Wednesday in the Khyber tribal region of northwest Pakistan near the border with Afghanistan.
The trucks were delivering supplies for NATO forces in Afghanistan.
U.S. drone aircraft have been targeting militants in northwest Pakistan in recent days. On Tuesday, drone strikes killed at least 17 people in the region.
In September, Pakistan shut a main border crossing with Afghanistan to NATO vehicles for 11 days after a NATO helicopter mistakenly killed two Pakistani soldiers. Pakistan's action move cut a main supply route for international forces in Afghanistan.
