The Department of Defense announced today the death of a Marine who was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.
Honoring Cpl. Chad S. Wade, 22, of Bentonville, Ark., died Dec. 1 while conducting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, Calif.
His awards and decorations include: the Purple Heart, Combat Action Ribbon, Iraq Campaign Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal
He is survived by wife Katie Marie Gravelle Wade, mother Tami and husband Terry, father Terrence L Wade and wife Chrystal, sisters Candice Allison and Tia Boyett, and brothers Trever Boyett and Tristan Wade. He was remembered December 9, 2010 at First Baptist Church in Rogers, Arkansas and laid to rest at Fayetteville National Cemetary in Arkansas.
