The Department of Defense announced today the death of a Marine who was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.
Honoring Lance Cpl. Lucas C. Scott, 20, of Peebles, Ohio, died Dec. 3 while conducting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, N.C.
His Awards and Decorations include: the Purple Heart(2), Afghanistan Campaign Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrrorism Service Medal, and NATO Medal.
He is survived by mother Angie Scott, father Kevin Scott, sisters Molly and Megan, and brother Elijah. He was remembered December 11, 2010 at Peebles HS and was laid to rest at Locust Grove Cemetary.
