The Department of Defense announced today the death of a Marine who was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.
Honoring Pfc. Colton W. Rusk, 20, of Orange Grove, Texas, died Dec. 6 while conducting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan. He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, Calif.
His Awards and Decorations include the Purple Heart, Combat Action Ribbon, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and Global War on Terrorism Service Medal.
Colton is survived by parents Darrell and Kathy Rusk, brothers Cody and Brady, and grandmothers Katy O'Neal and Jan Rusk. Colton was remembered December 18, 2010 at Riverhills Baptist Church and was laid to rest at the Sons of Hermann Cemetary.
