Yemen Releases 400 Rebels in Peace Deal
Security officials said the Yemeni government started freeing some 400 Houthi rebels Thursday, and authorities plan to release more at a later date.
The prisoner release comes days after a Qatari delegation met with Yemeni officials in an effort to strengthen the fragile peace deal reached earlier this year between Sanaa and the northern rebels.
The two sides have been engaged in sporadic fighting since 2004.
