Bullets/Bombs Blast Baghdad

Iraq_map_2003 Gun, Bomb Attacks in Baghdad Kill 1 Person, Wound 6

VoA News: Iraqi authorities say a series of attacks in the capital, Baghdad, has killed one government employee and wounded at least six other people.

In one of Monday’s incidents, officials say gunmen using silenced weapons killed an Iraqi Electricity Ministry engineer as he was driving his car in western Baghdad.

Four bombs also exploded in several parts of the city, wounding at least six people, including a police official.

Insurgents in Iraq frequently target civil servants to try to destabilize the government
