Monday, January 10th, 2011 VOA News A roadside bomb has has killed a police chief in western Iraq and wounded four of his guards.
Iraqi officials said the bomb targeted the motorcade of Mohammed Faisal, the police chief of the town of Hit near the border with Syria. Hit is about 110 kilometers west of Baghdad.
A doctor confirmed the casualities to The Associated Press.
Police and other security officials remain prime targets for insurgents as Iraq struggles to establish a new government amid scattered violence.
