Suicidal Islamist Kills 8 Iraqi Muslims at Mohammed B-day Celebration

Iraq_map_2003 Suicide Bomber Hits Iraqi City of Ramadi

VoA News: Iraqi officials say a suicide bomber has killed at least eight people in the city of Ramadi, the capital of Iraq's Anbar province.

Officials say the attacker blew himself up Thursday during a ceremony at a cultural center to celebrate the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad.

News reports indicate the deputy governor of Anbar province was among at least 15 people wounded in the bombing.

Militants carry out bombings and shootings almost daily.
