Zabul Province
International Security Assistance Force confirmed a Taliban weapons facilitator was detained during an Afghan and coalition operation in Zabul province Feb. 4.
The Taliban weapons facilitator was involved in small and heavy arms weapons trade and distribution for attacks against Afghan and coalition forces. He had recently taken a more active role in insurgent activities since the detainment of a Taliban leader in the area. He operated out of both Qalat and Shah Joy Districts within the province.
Nimroz Province
During a vehicle interdiction in Chahur Burjak District, Nimroz province, coalition forces killed several insurgents and confiscated a weapons cache consisting of 48 122 mm rocket warheads, 49 rocket motors, 49 rocket fuses, and 1,000 7.62 mm rounds Feb. 5.

Kandahar Province
Two separate combined patrols operating in Panjwa’i District, Kandahar province, discovered two weapon caches Feb. 6. Confiscated items included six 82 mm fuses, 17 82 mm rounds, five rocket-propelled grenade rounds, three directional fragmentation charges, one jug full of AK-47 rounds, three improvised explosive devices, one jug of homemade explosives, three detonators, one timer and 820 feet (250 meters) of wire.
In Zharay District, Kandahar province, a combined patrol found 18 grenades, one jug of shrapnel, wire and loose ammunition.
Helmand Province
An ISAF unit in Marjah District, Helmand province located 117 7.62 mm rounds and multiple weapons.
Logar Province
An ISAF patrol in Muhammad Aghah District, Logar province found a weapons cache consisting of 30 60 mm mortar rounds Feb. 6.
