Who is the Muslim Brotherhood?

And what is "political islam?"  Well, political islam is islamism, pure and simple, but in a benign way of saying so.  Islamism is a political and economic ideology that wants governments ran by mullahs and ayatollahs, according to "Sharia Law."  There are two branches of islamism: violent and political.  Regardless, their goals are the same though their primary means are different.  Hezbollah, Hamas, and Iran are both violent and political forms of islamism.  Al-Qaeda and the Taliban are violent adherents of islamism.

And who is the Muslim Brotherhood?  It is a secret society established in 1928 and has formed political parties at times to advance its goals.  Members of the Brotherhood are required to keep their membership private and to donate a portion of their incomes to the Brotherhood.  If you know a Muslim, you may know a member of the Brotherhood, but don't expect him to say so.  Several terrorists of different organizations have ties to the Brotherhood.  Its size is unknown.  Its reach extends into London and into the United States.

Officially, the Brotherhood renounces violence, except in fighting secular governments of the Middle East and in fighting Israel.  The Brotherhood transcends national borders and various political groups.  From it was spawned the Islamic Jihad of Egypt, led by al-Zawahari, which later merged to various degrees with Al-Qaeda.  Though the Muslim Brotherhood "renounces violence," it was involved in the assassination of Anwar Sadat.  Osama bin Laden has ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, but has renounced non-violent means to achieve the same goals.  Hamas is a Muslim Brotherhood political party, ran from Tehran.

Sayyid Qutb was an influential member of the group and in his book called or "physical power and Jihad for abolishing the organizations and authorities of the system."

But what are the stated goals of the Muslim Brotherhood? 
The establishment of an Islamist Caliphate, an empire transcending the Islamic World, from Spain to Indonesia.  (I know Spain is Catholic, but it was once part of the Caliphate's territory.)
The segregation of males from females in the education system.
A seperate curriculum for girls.
To instill the Qur'an and Sunnah as the "sole reference point for: ordering the life of the Muslim family, individual, community, and state".
The prohibition of dancing and other such pastimes.

"The period of the Western system has come to an end." "Islam is the only system which possesses these values and this way of life."

 And it has plans for Europe and for America as well:

"The process of settlement is a 'Civilization-Jihadist Process' with all the word means. The Ikhwan must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and "sabotaging" its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God's religion is made victorious over all other religions."

The overall goals of "political islam" or islamism is to re-establish the Caliphate, an empire ran by the mullahs and ayatollahs, not secular governments of laws.  The Taliban ruled in the form of "political islam" pre 9/11 in Afghanistan.  Iran is the model of "political islam."  Whether the means to that goal are political, immigration, conversion, or terrorism, the results if attained are "religious" tyranny.

Islamism is not good for the United States, nor Britain, nor Egypt or Jordan.
