NATO says two civilians were killed when an Afghan tried to ram his vehicle into a coalition patrol in southern Afghanistan.
The coalition says the driver of a civilian vehicle deliberately struck three service members Thursday in Kandahar province. Other members of the patrol in Kandahar district fired on the vehicle, which went into a ditch and flipped over.
NATO says the driver was wounded and a passenger was killed. The vehicle also struck and killed a pedestrian. It's unclear whether any coalition soldiers were injured.
In eastern Afghanistan, officials say four people, including at least two French soldiers, were wounded Wednesday when a suicide bomber attacked a NATO patrol in the northeastern province of Kapisa.
