Andrew Fletcher, infantryman assigned to Company D, 2nd Battalion, 12th Cavalry Regiment, attached to 1st Advise and Assist Task Force, 1st Infantry Division, scans the streets and rooftops of Kirkuk City, Iraq, for suspicious behavior during a partnered cordon and search operation with Iraqi Security Forces in northern Iraq, March 24, 2011. During the mission, Fletcher, who hails from Boise, Idaho, and U.S. Soldiers of his platoon provided additional security for the Iraqi Police Kirkuk Emergency Response Unit during the assessment, checking for violent extremist activity in the area. Dler, a member of the elite Emergency Response Unit, about the citizens of Kirkuk City during a joint cordon and search mission March 24, 2011. Quivers, a Killeen, Texas native, helped the Iraqi police plan the cordon and search as part of U.S. forces mission to advise, train and assist Iraqi Forces.
