Suicide Bomber in Northern Iraq Kills 7
Police in Iraq say a suicide bomber has blown himself up in the northern city of Mosul killing seven people.
Officials say at least another 16 people were also wounded when the bomber attacked a popular market in the city Saturday.
They say the bomber blew himself up at the entrance to the market where Iraqi soldiers were manning a checkpoint. Four of the dead were soldiers.
On Thursday, a suicide attack in Iraq's eastern Diyala province left at least eight people dead and 18 others wounded.
Violence in Iraq has declined overall from the height of the sectarian conflict several years ago. But terrorists still carry out bombings and shootings almost daily.
