2 Explosive Devices Found at US Bookstore
Police responding to an alarm at the mall, found evidence of a forced break-in at the Borders Bookstore Friday night. The store is located in the Colorado Mills Malls in Lakewood, Colorado. The two bombs that were located at that time did partial explode, but no injuries were reported to any persons. Borders sustained damage to a few ceiling tiles, a computer monitor, carpeting and broken door among other things.
"This wasn't a large event, It was something very small, contained, and controlled," said FBI spokesperson Dave Joly.
A third "item" of interest (as reported by a local tv station) was discovered later outside the mall and the Borders store during a sweep of the area.
Authorities looking into the bombs are Lakewood Police, FBI, ATF and the Joint Terrorism Taskforce.
Borders released the following statement:
"We take the safety of our employees and customers very seriously. To that end, we are cooperating with authorities to the fullest extent as they investigate this incident."

Bomb squad officers and other authorities were dispatched after the devices were spotted Saturday at the bookstore in a mall in the Lakewood area. The discovery was made after police responded to a report of a break-in.
The FBI says the two “small, crude devices” caused minimal damage in a small area in the bookstore, but no damage to the mall.
FBI agents are investigating the case.
