The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.
Pfc. Jarrod A. Lallier, 20, of Spokane, Wash., died June 18, in Zharay, Kandahar province, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when enemy forces in Afghan Police uniforms attacked his unit with small arms fire and grenades.
He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, N.C.
