An Afghan and coalition security force detained a Haqqani leader in Tsamkani district, Paktiya province, Wednesday.
The leader was responsible for conducting attacks against Afghan and coalition forces throughout the district, including suicide bomber attacks against coalition bases.
During the operation, the security force also detained two suspected insurgents.

In Pul-e ‘Alam district, Logar province, an Afghan and coalition security force conducted an operation to detain a Haqqani leader Wednesday. The leader is responsible for planning and conducting attacks against Afghan and coalition forces throughout the district, including an attack against a coalition convoy in May. During the operation, the security force detained numerous suspected insurgents.
