BAGRAM, Afghanistan (Sept. 24, 2012) – Afghan and coalition cleared seven improvised explosive devices during operations in eastern Afghanistan throughout the past 24 hours, Sept. 23.
Ghazni Province: Afghan National Security Forces and coalition forces found and safely cleared an IED in Ghazni District.
Khowst Province: Afghan Uniformed Police found and safely cleared an IED in Sabari District.
Kunar Province: Afghan National Security Forces found and safely cleared an IED in Mehtar Lam District.
Logar Province: Afghan National Security Forces and coalition forces found and safely cleared two IEDs in Charkh District.
Paktika Province: Afghan National Army soldiers and coalition forces found and safely cleared two IEDs in Zerok District.
Operations in RC-East are still ongoing.
