Jacob Carver was born in Kansas City, MO on April 25, 1995. He graduated from Cass Midway School in 2008 where he played football and competed in track.
He enjoyed dancing and dares.
Carver was an Infantryman assigned to Company B., 2nd Battalion, 502nd Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault).
He joined the Army in September 2008 and arrived at Fort Campbell February 2009.
His awards and decorations include: Bronze Star Medal; Purple Heart; National Defense Service Medal; Afghanistan Campaign Medal; Global War on Terrorism Service Medal; and Army Service Ribbon.
Carver is survived by his Carroll is survived by his mother, Rosa M. Carver, and father, Arthur F. Carver, of Freeman, Mo., Grove, Ga.; sister, Heather Godsell and her husband, Justin, Logan, Utah; nephew, Landon Godsell; nieces, Paige and Kiera Godsell; grandmother, Joan Carver, Freeman, MO; grandmother, Pauline Webster, Osceola, MO.
He was remembered Nov 23, 2010 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Harrison, MO and laid to rest at Orient Cemetary. Between 2000 and 3000 Missourians lined the street as early as 4:30 AM to prevent the Westboro Lawyers Gang from disrupting his family's mourning.
