Honoring PFC Kyle M Holder

Kyle Holder, of Conroe, Texas, was born March 24, 1982 in Montgomery County, Texas.  He graduated from The Woodlands HS in 2010.

"He always had a light in his eyes. He was awesome and he will be greatly missed." Jaclyn Elbert, schoolmate.

"I will always remember the way he would look up from whatever he was working on with a mischievous smile that would light up his face. I am proud of all that he achieved and appreciative of his service to our country." Geneva Goodney, Elementary School Teacher.

Pfc. Holder was an infantry soldier assigned to the 1st Squadron, 38th Cavalry Regiment (Reconnaissance and Surveillance), 525th Battlefield Surveillance Brigade, XVIII Airborne Corps in Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

 

Pfc. Holder's awards and decorations include: Army Commendation Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, and NATO Medal.

He is survived by his parents Bryant and Michelle, sister Stefanie, and grandparents Harry and Roberta Farrell.

He was laid to rest November 29, 2010 at Forest Park in The Woodlands, Texas.
