David J Luff Jr was born in Hamilton, Ohio on June 9, 1981. In 1999, he graduated from Hamilton High School
He was a Cincinnati Bengals and Reds fan. He enjoyed semi-pro wrestling.
He married his high school sweetheart, Katie Halcomb December, 31, 2008.

He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 27th Infantry Regiment, 2nd BCT, 25th Infantry Division, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. He had previously been assigned to Ft Lewis, Washington and was on his 2nd tour in Iraq.

David is survived by wife Katie Halcomb Luff, son Aidan Dakota Luff, father David J Luff Sr., mother Lucy Luff, brothers John and Jeffrey, and sister Stacy Garrison.
He was laid to rest at Greenwood Cemetary in Hamilton, OH. He was honored on his final journey by Fairfield Firefighters, Police Officers, and the Patriot Guard.
