David P Senft of of Grass Valley, CA, was born in Haywood, CA on the 4th of July, 1983. He graduated from Sierra Mountain High School in 2001.
He is remembered for incessant whistling and snapping his fingers often. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and shopping for antiques with his mother. He is described as an expert player of "Rock Band."
"He personally was very generous and funny and a smart guy. He had a very strong understanding of what freedom was and was fighting for us because it's what he believed in, it's what he loved. He was a fantastic brother who would do anything for his family and anything for his country." Catherine, sister.

Before becoming a member of the 101st, he served with the 82nd Airborne.

He flew many missions and many people have let me know that he lived up to this. David would put others before him even in dangerous places and situations. This doesn’t surprise me at all." Senft is survived by his wife, Private Alyssa S. Senft of Fort Lewis, Wash.; son Landon N. Ryan of Sardinia, Ohio; mother, Lee A. Snyder of Riverbank, Calif.; and father David H. Senft of Grass Valley, Calif.
He was laid to rest in Arlington National Cemetary on December 16, 2010.
