Derek A Wyatt of Akron, OH, graduated from East High School in 2004.
He was an All-City Second Baseman in High School.
His favorite album was White Pony by the Deftones.

Derek was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, Okinawa, Japan. He had previously served in Washington DC.

His Awards & Decorations include the Purple Heart, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Combat Action Ribbon, Navy and Marine Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and Global War On Terrorism Service Medal.
He is survived by wife, former Woman Marine, Kait Wyatt, son Michael Everett Wyatt, brother Josh Wyatt.
He was remembered at East High School in East Akron, OH on December 12, 2010 and laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetary.
