Honoring SSG Vincent Wayne Ashlock

Vincent Wayne Ashlock of Seaside, CA was born May 10, 1965 in San Jose, CA

“He was a really nice dad and also visited his daughter’s first-grade classroom, He was an active dad and certainly a presence.” Suzanne Flint, principal, Rock Creek Elementary School.

"He made Christmas parties for the Ugandans who are forgotten and don't get anything.  He made sure he went around and got a goat to feed for Christmas dinner. I liked that, I liked that that's who my son is." Margot Stengel, mother.

Honoring 1LT William J Donnelly IV

1st Lt. William J. Donnelly IV, 27, of Picayune, Mississippi, was a Homeschool graduate. He attended the US Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, NY and was commissioned on June 16, 2008.

He enjoyed both Country and Alternative music, watching NCIS, maintaining firearms skills, and working on engines.

He is remembered as a devoted husband, outstanding Marine, and his caring Generosity.  If you needed help, no matter when or where, he would be there for you.

He had previously worked at the Avondale Shipyard.

“He was the best husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend anyone could have.  He was respected by all who knew him and loved by everyone, and will be missed by so many.  He lived to serve his country, and he refused to just sit on the sidelines.” Melissa Donnelly-Weed, sister.

Honoring PFC William B Dawson

William Brandon Dawson, of Tunica, MS was the eldest of 4 sons, graduated Rosa Fort HS in Tunica in 2009.

"He was very respectful. He’s just one of those students, every time you see him, he lifts your spirits,” Derrick Dace, principal.

“He told me he wanted to be a senator. He could do so many different things.  He wanted to drive trucks and he wanted to serve his country.”  Rev. Willie Dawson, father.
